About Your Donations, Where & How They are used

American Legion Ahwatukee Post 64 proudly organizes two annual fundraisers, namely Autumn Fest Fundraiser and Springfest Fundraiser, which are vital in supporting our mission of veterans helping veterans. These events serve as a platform to raise funds that enable us to provide financial assistance to individuals facing urgent emergencies, ensuring that their specific needs are met. Moreover, we are devoted to offering funding and support to other selected veteran organizations in need, further amplifying our impact within the community. At American Legion Post 64, our unwavering commitment lies in making a positive difference in the lives of our veterans and the community we serve.

How do you donate to the post?

The most effective way to donate to American Legion Post 64 is through the donation form found on this page. However, we are more than happy to accept cash or check donations as well. If you choose to make a donation by check, please mail it to 5001 E Cheyenne Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85044. We kindly ask that you refrain from mailing cash. If you prefer to make a cash donation, we recommend doing so during our monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of the month. awards, medallions & Scholarships to children in local elementary, middles school & High schools

Post 64 actively supports our local schools in various ways. Our color guard provides assistance, while our officers present awards and medallions to elementary and middle school students. For high school students, we go a step further by offering a $200 college assistance check, along with an award and medallion. These prestigious honors are bestowed upon just two students, one boy and one girl. At The American Legion, we firmly believe in recognizing students not only for their academic achievements but also for their exemplary character and commitment to good citizenship. Since 1926, our School Award Medal Program has been honoring deserving individuals who embody these qualities. We are proud to contribute to the growth and development of our youth through awards, medallions, and scholarships.

Temporary Financial Emergency Assistance for Veterans

At American Legion Post 64, we are deeply committed to providing crucial temporary financial assistance to veterans who are facing financial hardships within our local community. We genuinely understand the unique challenges that veterans may encounter, and it is our utmost priority to be there for them during these difficult times. Our assistance encompasses covering essential expenses such as power bills, water bills, rent, and many more necessities. Another crucial aspect of our organization is our connection and collaboration with fellow veteran organizations. We are committed to providing financial assistance to various organizations annually, continually seeking opportunities to support those that are making a positive impact in our local community. Moreover, we actively identify veteran organizations that may be facing hardships and urgently require financial aid. We firmly believe that every veteran organization is a partner, united by our shared purpose of supporting our veteran brothers and sisters. Spring Fest Fundraiser 2024

Our Spring Fest fundraiser is crucial for funding our commitments and providing assistance to veterans. The American Legion Post 64 relies on this eventful fundraiser, which features a live band, catered food, and plenty of dancing. Additionally, we hold silent auctions, raffles, and more to generate funds that directly support our veterans.
