Peter H. Meier
12/12/1942 – 12/04/2025
He may be gone, but he’ll never be forgotten!
Peter H. Meier
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pete Meier. Pete was an institution in the Ahwatukee real estate market, having worked with Presley Homes at the inception of our community. His career spanned 48 years in the Phoenix area, during which he earned the distinction of REALTOR® Emeritus.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and later dedicated himself to serving the Ahwatukee community as a respected realtor. At the same time, Pete volunteered as a key leader in the founding of Ahwatukee’s only local veteran organization, American Legion Post 64.
As Post Commander prior to COVID, and during the operational shutdowns that followed, Pete never stopped serving veterans. Through his leadership, commitment, and persistence, he kept the Post alive and prevented it from closing, ensuring that veterans in the community continued to have a place for support, fellowship, and service.
No services have been announced at this time and will hold service after the holidays, per Pete’s wife, Sigrid, She has requested in leu of sending flowers, that donations be made to American Legion Post 64 in Ahwatukee. As this is what Pete would have liked done.
Please, utilize the form below to make a donation to Post 64 or if you would like to you can also utilize the link below to be taken to Zeffy’s website for the donation.
